    Western Sydney Twilight Seminar: Key new laws in 2012 – the new Personal Property Securities and Work Health & Safety laws

    The Personal Property Securities Act 2009 commenced operation on 30 January 2012. The Act brings together a multitude of different registers of security interests throughout the country and creates a single national on-line register for all security interests on just about all kinds of property, other than real estate, including commercial property, consumer property, tangible and intangible property. In this session, we will provide an overview of the key issues concerning the new laws.In this session we will also bring you up to date on the new Work Health & Safety laws that commenced operation in NSW on 1 January 2012 and inform you of the practical steps your business should now be taking in order to comply.
    Important for all in house counsel, directors, and senior managers. Please join us for canapés and drinks at 6pm before the presentation commences at 6:30pm.

    Michael is a partner in Holding Redlich’s National Workplace and Safety Group. Michael practices in all areas of workplace relations and safety, with a special focus on occupational health & safety law. Michael has been involved in numerous workplace health & safety investigations, coronials and prosecutions.
